You're fine. 9 out of 10
Posted on September 3, 2008, 4:34 amYou're fine. 9 out of 10 people with nostril piercings get "the bump." It is on your face and it gets smacked around mroe than we are even aware.
Avoid the tea tree oil as it is harsh and not needed. H2Ocean is also debatable because it is really just a fancy canned sea salt spray with additives in it.
Warm sea salt soaks are all you really need plus they involve minimal contact with the piercing. 2 months is still healing so just relax. The bump will go away but being aware of your sleep habits, if you catch it on towels, undressing, etc will help you mind it better as well.
Never miss someone from your past - there is a reason they did not make it to your future.

My nose piercing is over 2
Posted on September 4, 2008, 1:25 amMy nose piercing is over 2 years old and I still battle with the bump. Somedays its really good, others it will flare up.
I think you COULD be over doing the afercare. Just stay with doing the sea salt soaks once a day or so. I takes approx 6months to 1 years for nose piercings to fully heal so you still have a while left...

I've had my nose piercing
Posted on September 9, 2008, 9:18 pmI've had my nose piercing for about 2 years now. the first year was hell dealing with the bump. Then the bump went away. Got my brow pierced the other day and the bump flared up on my nose again.

Of all the piercings I have,
Posted on September 14, 2008, 1:42 pmOf all the piercings I have, the nostril had to be the most annoying one to heal. I managed more times than I care to remember to hook that damned thing on just about everything in the universe. Luckily I was single at the time, so I'd probably have hooked the damned thing on something else if I'd worked it right... *mumble* I was actually quite amazed at how long it took for that piercing to heal. With or without my spastic nature. Now it's fine. I think I've had most of my pro piercings for about 4 years now. Even my cart. piercings healed quicker than the nostril.
