I don't have either, but one of my friends has both and she says that her ribs were the worst. The one on her ribs goes vertically down her side. She needs touch ups on it because she couldn't help but move, and she's afraid to go get the touch ups done lol

Well in my experience touch ups hurt more than the original thing, so I don't blame the gal!!!

When I had a touch up done on my ankle it hurt like hell, but I fell asleep when I had the tattoo done originally.

My foot tattoo was like nothing, tho I don't think it was gone over hard enough. I don't have my ribs done, but I'm layered and I'm afriad I'm toooo ticklish in that area lol.
For normal people tho, I've heard foot is their worst.

QFT- My touchups were a little worse than getting the tat, and I had a sunburn when I originally got the tat.

I don't have the front of my ribs too tattooed - just some tiny stars that I don't even remember the pain to- but I do have the side of one of them done.

My feet hurt a hell of a lot more.

I had my hip touched up and my artist said it hurt more because there is scar tissue built up there.

I can't speak for the rib pain, but I have a tat around my ankle and onto the top of my foot. it hurt!! My boney ankle and foot just about couldn't take it. Oh well, it's over and done with though, and it looks good so .

Everyone I know who has rib tattoos says they're the worst ones. I have my feet done and it hurt, quite a lot, but not horrible HORRIBLE pain.

the problem with feet is lots of nerve endings; makes them twitch involuntarily, which disturbs your tattoer.

That's for sure! There was one point that made my toes twitch like crazy!

My placement is different than yours, if I'm not mistaken. That's probably why.

When I got one of the ones on my back, there was one spot on my lower back that made a muscle in my shoulder twitch. I think I am just a freak

My lower back was the most painful honestly.. the top of my foot was a breeze for the most part. Closer to my toes was a little rough, but like I said my lower back, I was just in tears the whole time.

Wow! My lower back was a tickle and no pain, I was laughing and watching TV! Funny how everyones bodies are different!

I just had a lower back piece done(lotus blossom tramp stamp) and it was more painful than the roses on my breast..On a scale of 1-10 it was probably a 5-6..The roses a 3-4..I also have a rose ankle bracelet that needs to be redone(have had it for about 17-18 yrs).If I ever have that one done again I'll definitely get some Emlo cream..I think the second most painful one I have is on my thigh..2 roses entwined..That was freaking awful..Someone once told me that thighs are more painful because it is part of the largest muscle..I was laying there thinking "Why am I doing this?? Just a few more minutes and it will be numb..just a few more minutes.." But honestly alot depends on the artist..My new artist has a very light touch..He ROCKS!!

Very interesting....part of my hip tat extends to my thigh and I was grateful when he was tattooing there because I felt nothing.

dont have one on my foot so I obviously cant give my opinion there, but I do have one on my lower lift side of my stomach, ribs, and hip(can be scene in my pics) except for the little area at the top of my waist line (the dreaded love handle area) it was not to bad.....I tell everybody that asks if it hurt, that is was more painful on my ass sitting on a freakin steel folding chair for 3-1/2 hours while I was getting tatted.
