First tattoo!

I have been planning a memorial tattoo for my grandmother for a while now, and I think I have finally landed on what I want done! Smiling

Here is a pic:

Obviously it won't be exactly that, but you get the general idea... Color-wise and everything, it is almost exactly what I have been thinking of. Sooo... It would be on my left shoulder blade. I want it to be fairly large, as in, starts towards the middle of my back and curves over, but we will see what the artist says once he takes a look at the picture.

I have an appointment set for Saturday, November 22, at 2 PM... Whether or not I keep it will all depend on money, really. I am thinking of just having him do the outline now and fill it in later so that it's not quite so expensive. Again, I will wait until he has a look at the picture and then discuss it with him further.

Anyway, I am excited, so I wanted to share. Smiling

Side note: I have an ex who had something similar wrapping her calf. It was (and still is, I assume) amazing.

Oh there will be pics! I haven't heard back from the tattoo guy yet, but at this point I am planning on going for sure and at least getting the outline done on Saturday and then see how we are doing for time after he's done with that since they charge by the hour. I cannot stress this enough: I AM SO NERVOUS! uPinkLol

Really, really excited though... I can't stop thinking about it!

Can't wait to see!! You'll be fine! I find tattoos to be no big deal to be honest, I reckon as females we are tough uBiggrin

Ribs are pretty ouchy IMO. I have 6 tats and that hurt the most, but it would never stop me from doing the other side!

Yes...just be careful with how the tat vs bra strap placement is and stick with thick bands on the straps. A skinny stringy one will cut into the tat a bit and be ouchy. Also, go topless around the house and wear the strap off your shoulder under your shirts if you can. You can put a bandage lightly on it if you MUST wear one, like for work.
