You need to have a piercer
Posted on October 22, 2008, 6:58 pmYou need to have a piercer look at it. Maybe it can be opened all the way with a taper; maybe there's scar tissue that must be pierced through or around.

It's not a problem to
Posted on December 4, 2008, 3:56 pmIt's not a problem to re-pierce in exactly the same spot. Even if there's scar tissue. The piercing will just have to be done free hand (no clamps). It'll take a few more seconds to get the needle through, But at least that way you can be sure the piercing will end up at the spot where you want it to be. However, I find in most cases the piercing can/should be placed behind the original one. Most people pierce their nips too far up front. Also, you'll end up with slightly bigger looking nipples if you pierce further back. Especailly if you end up streching you piercings a bit.

hey bro I had kinda the same
Posted on December 3, 2008, 4:51 pmhey bro I had kinda the same prob, only mine got completely ripped out by accident on the upper corner of a car door and began knotting on either side and getting infected so i had to take it out and let it close b4 i could repierce. my piercer was able to repierce (using a clamp) through the same hole. we used a 12g needle in order to make sure all potential scar tissue was removed, i had it redone halloween night and all is going well and healing fine. good luck

Freehand doesn't necessarily
Posted on December 3, 2008, 5:02 pmFreehand doesn't necessarily mean a piercing is slower.
Re-piercing can be freehand or clamped...it's a style thing.
No, a receiving tube wouldn't be a good idea here.
Depending on the type of scar you have, re-piercing the exact spot may or may not be advisable.

I have had mine redone and I
Posted on December 6, 2008, 12:52 pmI have had mine redone and I found if you don't mind, go to a bigger gauge...the process can then take out much of the scar tissue...at least that is what my piercer said and it seemed to work well for me. Orginal was a 10g and I had then redone at a 8g.
