You stretched too fast. If
Posted on October 29, 2008, 9:20 amYou stretched too fast.
If you were having some issues do not let your body trick you just because it is behaving for a brief time.
Downsize back to 8 or 6 and leave it that way for a couple of months. You may want to do some sea salt soaks for a while to soothe it.
Bleeding after a stretch is a sign of damage. Just be patient and it will work later. You do not want to build up a bunch of scar tissue in such an important area.
Btw, the topic double posted so I removed one.

Well I have been doing the
Posted on October 29, 2008, 10:15 amWell I have been doing the salt soaks. The thing is that it did not bleed immediately after the stretch, this started more than a week after stretching. Plus, after my stretch from 8 to 6 I had zero issues and no bleeding until the ring fell out. After that is when things started going downhill.

You may have knocked it
Posted on October 30, 2008, 1:00 amYou may have knocked it whilst it was still healing for the stretch.
6 to 4 is a bigger stretch in terms of mm than 8 to 6.
Other than that, I an't really help, sowwee...

If I were you, I'd maybe be
Posted on October 31, 2008, 5:23 amIf I were you, I'd maybe be tempted to go back to 6ga for a few weeks or a month just to let it settle then take it from there. Maybe also try applying some lube or oil before bed too to ensure that the ring can move freely.

hey UK, I did put on VitE
Posted on October 31, 2008, 9:48 amhey UK, I did put on VitE oil the past two nights. Plus been soaking it right before bed. This morning it was all clear. If the issue persists then I will see if going to 6ga for a while helps it out

by knocked it, I mean bumped
Posted on November 1, 2008, 8:37 amby knocked it, I mean bumped it, caught it, slept on it awkwardly, that made it misbehave again. If that's the case it should settle down again in time.

Posted on November 1, 2008, 9:08 amI'm not a fan of vitamin e oil on piercings. First, I'm not convinced that any of the "vitamin" actually is absorbed through the skin. Second, it tends to be very sticky and thick.
but hey, if it's working . . .

I had to stretch my navel
Posted on November 1, 2008, 11:54 amI had to stretch my navel to get the ring back in after removing it for surgery (the hole was still open but had shrunk down quite a bit). It went fine, but was a little tender the next day.
Then I smacked it with an air hose at work (by accident).
Cue bleeding ooze that lasted several days.
Salt soaks worked a treat. All is well now.
If I cannot go silently into that good night, then let me go loudly in a blaze of glory!!!

It was not going great so I
Posted on November 2, 2008, 12:21 pmIt was not going great so I did go back to the 6ga and will see what happens. If I'm having issues with it in a week I won't have a choice but to take it out and no longer have the piercing

I wouldn't take it out. Just
Posted on November 2, 2008, 2:45 pmI wouldn't take it out. Just keep it clean, leave it alone(!!!), and be patient. It will heal if you stop irritating it.

Thick, don't be afraid to
Posted on November 27, 2008, 10:22 pmThick, don't be afraid to return, even to an 8 if necessary. Give it time, all will heal up... But, I see you haven't reposted, so perhaps all is well for you.
Unless your PA is a piercing you really dislike, retreating, even to an 8 will give your body time to heal.

I wince when I read posts
Posted on November 28, 2008, 4:33 amI wince when I read posts like this.
Too much, too soon. Yeah, people do it and get away with it, but that doesn't make it a good idea.
If this thing ever settles down, leave it alone for awhile, and I don't mean a few weeks, or even a couple of months.
This isn't a race, and there aren't any prizes other than a healthy, happy piercing.

I totally agree with Bash. For some Tribe members, there seems to be a competition to stretch to larger size jewelry as quickly as possible. My piercer advised me to take at least two to three months between stretches and not to rush the process.

I see many posts about the
Posted on November 29, 2008, 2:40 pmI see many posts about the PA, one hole that I want for myself. The wife doesn't want me to want it, but hey, I'm wierd like that. I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but have any of you guys done this outside of Her wanting? And, from all the research (and lurking) I've done, it seems a fast healing hole if you do it right... thing is, I'm 6'7" tall, the wife is maybe 5'3' tall... so, there's some size isues to get around, sexually... Sometimes just me hurts her bad...
Thing is, I want a PA, but don't want to hurt her. We've been married many years, and sometimes it's a month or more between us doin the Horizontal Bop, so healing time probably wouldn't be a problem, but all this talk of removing jewelry, then having to re-taper to get it back in, and bleeding, and such....AGHHH!
Someone help me out! Please!! And sorry, thick, if it seems I'm trying to hijack

If your piercing is
Posted on November 30, 2008, 10:54 amIf your piercing is completely healed, and you use common sense, removal/re-insertion isn't a big deal. Especially once a month, you horndawg.
