Hi all!

I'm planning on getting my first tattoo in the UK in around a month or so when I return home.
I was thinking of having it enhanced with blacklight/UV "invisible" ink but wasn't sure if this was available in the UK - have only found info on US sites so far - anyone know any better Puzzled ?
Also, if anyone has info on this type of ink, I'm all ears, as I haven't found out much about whether or not it discolours with age or anything.
These are all questions I plan to ask my tattooist, but I'm currently in Oz and the email inbox of my preferred place is full!

Cheers in advance...

it IS available though as far as i remember it doesnt last long and its not been fully proven to be safe yet. i might be blethering. Saying that, the pink in my arm glows under UV...though i think its just due to the colour more than anything else lol

hope all goes well with le tat!

i wouldnt *THINK* it would be that bad but then im hardly a scientist lol though id be wary about getting it done if it wouldnt last that long. i get totally posessive of metal and tattoos. once ive got them i couldnt imaging being without them lol if my tats were to fade away, id seriously die lol

Lol - the main tattoo will be black, just using "invisible" UV ink to enhance it/be a bit different!
I am a scientist Laughing out loud and found the MSDS sheet for it online and it looks pretty safe to me! I hope it doesn't fade too soon tho! I've heard that it should last at least 10 years...

It has been FDA approved for STAMPING fish at the docks, it has in no way been proven safe for injecting into skin.

But at least it has been FDA approved for that, and we eat said fish, don't we?
Also, no ink whatsoever has been FDA approved for injecting into skin, nor proven by them to be safe.
Even henna tattoos have not been FDA approved - henna is solely approved for use as a hair dye...
