no, I don't think it will
Posted on October 9, 2008, 6:40 amno, I don't think it will heal in time. I'm sorry but it sounds like you stretched too far, too fast.
But I'm not a big "stretcher" so maybe someone will have a different experience or opinion.

You mentioned
Posted on October 9, 2008, 9:56 amYou mentioned weights....weights are notorious for causing thinning because the part that has the most pressure on it stretches unevenly.
The massaging is a good idea, but I agree with Cloud. You are going fast. Even though you were at 2" if you had to downsize to 1" you shouldn't be getting back by a half an inch in a couple of days. That should take you months. Stressing your body by going so quickly also contributes to the thinning. In your situation your best bet probably is to have your ear reconstructed to be even all the way around, but keep in mind there WILL be some scar tissue no matter how minimal, and that will cause you to not be able to stretch as quickly or successfully and you will be forced to wait longer between stretches.
Never miss someone from your past - there is a reason they did not make it to your future.

Posted on October 9, 2008, 12:15 pmmy bad I sorta mis-wrote my post. my left lobe , the really healthy one, I put an inch plug in it because it had a small cut in it and I didn't want to make it worse but I could pull my lobe down pretttty far so its not as if I went from an inch to inc n 1/2 know what I mean?? and I have two 0g hoops going through my tunnel I know its not the best way to stretch but its not making any flat spots yet same as the first time around. maybe I'll just be stuck with one huge lobe and one little one O(-_-)o

Having one small lobe and one larger lobe isn't all that bad. For example, it's better than having one smaller lobe and two dangling hunks of former lobe flesh.
I would take the jewelry completely out of both of them for a long while and pray that you won't have to have them reconstructed. Let them heal and make your goal getting them healthy rather than stretching them larger for awhile.

Posted on October 9, 2008, 6:23 pmI'm sorry this happened to you, and really hope it does get better.
There are indeed serious consequences for stretching too far, too fast.
I predict loads of lobe reconstruction surgery for lots of people in the future, and not only for fubar'd lobes, but stretched lobes period.
