New member here,---just joined this week. I have had my 14 guage Amphallang for 3 years now. I decided to upgrade to a thicker bar last week and the 12 guage bar came in the mail yesterday. I picked out balls on the end that matched the diameter of balls on my Frenum bar---my Frenum bar is a 10 guage---I would have gone even larger diameter balls, but they dont offer any larger for a 12 guage bar. Anyway, I thought I would never get that bar all the way through my head again. I put lots of aloe vera gel on the bar, and just kept twisting the bar and slowly pushing it. I would twist and stop and continue. After sweating if it would ever go through, it finally poked out the other side after about 20 minutes. Needless to say, it is very snug now. I think the professional piercer should have used a 10 gauge needle in the beginning---or at least a 12. Anyone know how large you can go with an Amphallang bar?
