i have wanted a surface piercing for about a yr n was originally looking to get my nape done. i have really long hair n wash it every day so in the end i thought this was a bad idea as my body rejects things really easily. so instead i decided i wanted a cleavage piercing, i read around them for ages and eventually booked an appointment at punktured in brighton. the guys in there are wicked and i specifically asked for tom because he always made me feel really comfortable in the past.so i waited a week for my appointment. that morning i was so nervous. i was proper sick to my stomach. mainly because it was my first surface peircing. i chose a 14mm surface bar and tom put all the dots on n spent ages making sure they were straight. he didnt use clamps which was cool cos i dont have a lot of excess skin there. it did hurt but it wasnt unbearable. i just concentrated on my breathing and tom was a star talking me through everything he was doing. it seemed like ages before it came out the other end but by then i was used to the pain n it was all cool. there was no pain afterwards n no bleeding or anything. a couple of days later it went a bit red round the holes, mainly because my boobs squash it when i am asleep. its been about 4 weeks now n they look pretty good. just a tiny bit red in the morning sometimes. ive had hardly any crusties n am down to salt water soaks once a day. i have caught it a few times which was painful but im well pleased with it. its worth doing but just make sure you go to the right place and make sure they use a surface bar!
