After several months of toying with the idea of giving myself a piercing, last night I actually did it. A great deal of research went into this first piercing - a vertical pubic piercing. Everyone says these have a fair chance of migration/rejection but we'll see. I used a 12 gauge 3/4" curved barbell. The bottom is about 1/8" above the base of the penis. I had everything in place, needle, clamp, gloves, surgical scrub, provine wipes and so on. The biggest surprise was that it was essentially painless! I've had blood tests and IV lines that hurt way worse. There's about 1/16" of "slack" and I think it looks great.After about an hour there was the smallest bit of bleeding and now, several hours later, some pink fluid but not exactly bleeding.
