I have had my rook pierced for about 5 months now and I love it. I randomly decided the day that I got it that there was an empty place on my ear that needed to be filled. It took a while to push the needle thorough, because there is alot of cartlidge, and It cant go through in just one push. After I got it done, my piercer told me that it was one of the most painful, because its not just a quick poke through, it takes some pushing. Yes, it did hurt, and I got a barbell put in. It was great to sleep with, because it was tucked in my ear, and didnt stick out. It does take a while to heal, mine still isnt. It looks great though
