I had my nose done quite some time ago. A little over a year, to be exact. I remember when I went in I was kind of scared. I was fourteen at the time. Anyway, I went in to this place called "The Tattoo Factory." It was very sanitary, I had my navel done there a year earlier. Back to the story. I went in and told them what I wanted. My mother signed the papers and talked to the piercer. So he sat me down in the chair. He told me about the piercing before I got it done. Then he washed his hands and put on new gloves. He took out all the materials and opened them up right infront of me so I could see that they were clean and not previously used. Then he cleaned my nose and used a sharpie to place a dot. He made sure that was where I wanted it. Then he took the forceps and clamped my nose. He told me that would be the most painful thing I'd expierence during this whole ordeal. Honestly, I don't know why people complain about the forceps. They really don't hurt. So then he took the needle and placed it by my nose. He warned me that my eyes might water, because the tear duct is right by your nose. Then he told me to breathe in. As soon as I did so, he shoved the needle through. It was over in seconds. Next thing I know there's this huge needle in my nose. I kinda stared at it until he put in the jewelry. It was exciting. Then he told me how to go about cleaning the piercing. I'm not gonna lie, about a month or so after the piercing, a bump appeared. It contained a somewhat bloody fluid. We called him and he told us to clean it throughly everyday with anti-bacterial soap and then apply Carmex to it. It took about a week to clear up. He said the bump is normal, so don't get scared!
