So I've wanted to get my conches done for a while now. As luck would have it, I got a bigger paycheck than I'd thought I would today, so I decided "what the hell?"I got it done at a fairly new place in town that I'd never been to (Living Canvas, if you're ever in Columbia, Missouri) and had heard very little about how their staff was. The guy I talked to was very helpful and even had a few ideas about variations and industrials involving conches. Turns out he was also the piercer.Now I'd heard that these hurt, that they make a terrible noise when the needle goes through the cartilage. I'd say it's a bit of both. After counting to three, inhaling, and exhalingg, the needle went in. I thought it was over. Nope. A couple seconds later I felt a new bit of pain and heard a definite pop. Ring went in, I checked it out, got the healing speech, and was out of there after a total of maybe 20 minutes.I completely recommend this piercing for anybody who a different ear piercing. I'm planning on eventually having two on each ear _
